WHAT A BEAUTY!!!

So the wedding planning has officially began. While "casually" looking for wedding shoes I came across these bad boys. How amazing are these shoes? These are so unexpected. A combination of elegant and punk rock. Would I wear them on my wedding day though?......Ummm maybe. However, I definitely won't be wearing them because the price tag on these babies is $3545 and it's wait listed until June (not that that matters).

Would you wear these on your wedding day?

LOOK WHAT I GOT!!!!!

I have been having such long and very stressful days at work the past two weeks, so I decided to make an impromptue trip to see my bf. So on Friday I left work about an hour early, went home threw some stuff in a suitcase then my brother drove like a mad man to the airport. Checkin was smoothe but boarding the plane, the annoying guy who wore his sunglasses the entire 5 hr flight, the flight and customs was a nightmare. I came through the arrival doors pissed and annoyed then those feelings were hightened when I didn't see my bf. I walked towards the exit and before I could call him he appared. Anyway he took my bags and we walked to the car. He then intrpduced me to some guy he knew who was stranded at the airport that he was giving a ride home (I promise he knows everyone regardless of where he goes so I wasn't surprised). Before we got in the car he said there was something he wanted to show me before we left. As we walked away I knew he was up to something cause he was VERY uneasy. Then he started talking about him, us .....then he was on his knees.....then a ring.....then crickets.....lol. I was so shocked....but I said YES. Of course I said yes. And that was the beginning of a much better weekend.

I'M SUCH A FAILURE!

This summer my boyfriend's mom made me the best fudge I have ever had in my life. So when it was my turn to bake something for work I decided to try and replicate her creation. I got the recipe and began the process. Ten minutes into it I felt like something was wrong so I called her to make sure I was on the right track. She laughed a little then told me that I was doing fine but I needed to keep stirring for about 30 more minutes. 30 minutes!....no way. My arms were so tired that I just stopped. I mean it looked very similar to the what she made all it needed to do was firm up a bit. Only it never did! It looked like, well, diarrhea.
When my mom came home she tried to salvage my poor attempt at making fudge but she over did it and by the time we were done the "fudge" was so hard it sounded like rock candy......and the color....I don't even know where it came from. The sad thing is I just knew I would be great at making fudge. Clearly I was wrong.....lol. I will attempt again, but no time soon.

Take a look at my sad attempt at making fudge

I started out great

But then a turn for the worse. My mom placed foil on it to smooth it out.... bad idea....it got stuck...lol
And this is what we ended up with. A far cry from what it should look like. The funny thing is it still tasted okay....lol

MY 1ST FARMSHARE PICKUP

Awhile back I wrote about local CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture). Last week I picked up my 1st weekly portion directly from local farmers. I must say I was very excited to see what I would get even though I already knew. I was pleasantly surprised by how much veggies we go. I am happy I am going to be sharing my share with my mom and bff because there is no way I could eat all these veggies all by myself. I think that this will be a great way to start eating well and add variety to the veggies that I eat. (OMG I sound so boring....With that I bring this post to a close. Here is what was included for about $25 a week:

1 bu Orange Carrots
1 bu Italian Parsley
2 pcs. Leeks
1 Head red Oak Lettuce
2 lbs. Sweet Potatoes
1 head of Bok Choy
1 bu Tatsoi
1 bu Guy Lon
1+1/2 lbs. Snap Beans
1 lb. Cherry Tomatoes
1 lb. Heirloom Tomatoes
1+1/2 lbs. Baby Squash
1 Sweet Bell Peppers

Happy Eating
