Awhile back I wrote about local CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture). Last week I picked up my 1st weekly portion directly from local farmers. I must say I was very excited to see what I would get even though I already knew. I was pleasantly surprised by how much veggies we go. I am happy I am going to be sharing my share with my mom and bff because there is no way I could eat all these veggies all by myself. I think that this will be a great way to start eating well and add variety to the veggies that I eat. (OMG I sound so boring....With that I bring this post to a close. Here is what was included for about $25 a week:
1 bu Orange Carrots
1 bu Italian Parsley
2 pcs. Leeks
1 Head red Oak Lettuce
2 lbs. Sweet Potatoes
1 head of Bok Choy
1 bu Tatsoi
1 bu Guy Lon
1+1/2 lbs. Snap Beans
1 lb. Cherry Tomatoes
1 lb. Heirloom Tomatoes
1+1/2 lbs. Baby Squash
1 Sweet Bell Peppers
1 bu Italian Parsley
2 pcs. Leeks
1 Head red Oak Lettuce
2 lbs. Sweet Potatoes
1 head of Bok Choy
1 bu Tatsoi
1 bu Guy Lon
1+1/2 lbs. Snap Beans

Is it sad if I don't know three of the things on the list by name?!? Well, I'm a work in progress. I've never been to the fresh market out this way, but think I should take a gander...today I ate little (and fresh!), and I feel so much better, even if I am sick!
