Hello all, I'm heading down to my alma mater, Hampton University for Commencement at which President Obama will be the guest speaker. I'm really excited. I haven't seen our beautiful home by the sea in such a long time. I LOVE MY H-I-U!!!!
Anyway, because I am not going to be in the city on Sunday I gave my mom her Mother's day gift on Friday. This year I gave her a plant I bought from Ovando Florist in the West village. From the moment I walk into the tiny boutique I was in love. Orchids everywhere, and a window to die for. They make the most exquisite bouquets also. I immediately though "This woman has got to do the floral at my wedding" (not getting married btw).
So if you have yet to buy that special gift and don't mind giving a flower/plant try Ovando, you won't be disappointed I promise. Well there is the cost factor, but that's just a minor detail.
